Please note: The open enrollment program is administered by the State of Wisconsin and there are statutory procedures and timelines the school district is required to follow in order to accept students to the ARISE Virtual Academy. The application period for the upcoming school year starts the first Monday in February and ends at 4:00 pm on the last weekday in April. However, there are a number of exceptions to this open enrollment period policy. If you have missed the deadline and feel your situation may qualify please contact ARISE immediately. If your child is approved to attend the ARISE Virtual Academy through Open Enrollment you will be required to complete the general ARISE Virtual Academy application and enrollment in the School District of Janesville in order to be able to have your child attend the ARISE Virtual Academy. ARISE Virtual Academy offers a one-week Trial/Orientation period to ensure a good educational fit. During this week, students are not yet officially enrolled. Part-time students should continue attending their current school for any classes they plan to keep there. Full-time students should focus exclusively on ARISE coursework all day and should not attend their current school. Following a successful trial, official enrollment and registration procedures will be completed. |
