Meet Our Principal

Mrs. Veronica McMahon serves as the ARISE Virtual Academy Principal and District TAG Coordinator for the School District of Janesville, roles she began with the 2024-25 school year.

Mrs. McMahon's educational background includes a Bachelor's in Education and a Master's in Reading from UW-Whitewater, followed by a Leadership License from Viterbo University.

Her career in education is marked by diverse roles and a deep commitment to student success. She began her journey in Milwaukee Public Schools before transitioning to Janesville, where she served as a classroom teacher, Title 1 Reading Teacher, Reading Specialist, and principal at Madison Elementary School. Her outstanding contributions were recognized when she was named the School District of Janesville's Administrator of the Year in both the 2011-12 and 2012-13 school years. Most recently, she contributed to ARISE as a classroom teacher, Reading Specialist, and Testing Coordinator.

As principal at ARISE, Mrs. McMahon continues to collaborate with students, families, and staff to foster a thriving virtual learning environment. She is dedicated to empowering every student to reach their full potential and pursue their passions, confident that the school community will continue to excel academically and grow in its supportive and inclusive nature.
